Australian Metalcore band The Gloom In The Corner got in touch with me to produce an animated music video for their new track, Ronin. For this piece, I decided to lean in to my love of 80’s & 90’s Anime and Heavy Metal Magazine.
The Band members were thrilled with some of the early concepts and then I was off making the animatic and churning out this video all on my own in two months of creative madness.
"He saw to our vision of the story in a way that hadn’t been captured before, and was thorough in capturing the vibe, the tiny story details that would usually
go unnoticed."
Some of my favourite shots. Stoked to have worked the 'Akira' slide in there!
“Working with Mike through the ‘Ronin’ music video was an incredible and delightful experience. He saw to our vision of the story in a way that hadn’t been captured before, and was thorough in capturing the vibe, the tiny story details that would usually go unnoticed. To say working with Mike was incredible feels like an understatement, and I couldn’t recommend him enough!”
