Mike and Alex approached me about creating the artwork for a deck-building horror card game they had designed. The game worked terrifically from my first play-test with felt-tipped coloured cards.
I needed to wear two hats for this job which included UI design to make sure the iconography and information was extremely clear for the players and then the cards had to look GREAT of course.
Then when all the cards are designed and signed off, I was tasked with creating the box artwork (packaging design hat now on!) along with the promotional materials needed for the project’s Kickstarter campaign (spoiler alert: We smashed the goal)

It was an absolute treat to throw myself in to the design of this game. I’m primarily an illustrator and animator but I have an extensive background in Motion Graphics and Graphic design so it was great to put my Design hat on for the UI work needed for this. Mike and Alex were most pleased with my decision to anchor each Sub-Genre to a specific colour which would work across icons AND the actual artwork of the cards itself.
This means when a full set is found of a particular sub-genre, it actually visually looks like a cohesive set.
I’m especially proud of this!

"Mike did a truly exceptional job with his Final Cut artwork, juggling the functionality of the graphic design elements of the game with his unique creativity that brought the game to life and gave it whole new dimension. It was everything I imagined / hoped it would be and so much more. Each one of the 96 cards in this deck is a little work of art, and deserves to be framed!"
