The Evolution of Horror is a weekly movie discussion podcast that covers the history of horror cinema, one sub-genre at a time.
Host, Mike Muncer, reached out to me for a refresh of the branding/identity of the podcast which was an absolute dream job. I covered everything from the podcast artwork and title treatment to the individual series illustrations and merch.
"Mike's a big horror fan as well as an extraordinary artist, so was able to come up with designs that were far better (and scarier!) than anything
I could've imagined."
It was such a treat coming up with my own take on the different sub-genres for each season. Folk Horror was a favourite of a lot of people's in particular.
I especially loved working on these animated gifs for the EoH Patreon channel.
"Mike knew exactly how to adapt his new designs for different platforms and mediums..."
Some examples here of the social media templates I put together.
Can't wait to see people in the wild wearing these!
"Collaborating with Mike on artwork for my projects is one of my absolute favourite things. He's a brilliant artist but he's also calm, reliable and somehow we always seem to be on the exact same wavelength: even when I can't quite articulate in words what I need, he seems to know exactly what I'm after and delivers! Having Mike rebrand the Evolution of Horror podcast was a dream project for me. Mike's a big horror fan as well as an extraordinary artist, so was able to come up with designs that were far better (and scarier!) than anything I could've imagined. Mike knew exactly how to adapt his new designs for different platforms and mediums (videos, social media posts, website art, etc.) whilst also giving the brand such a distinct personality and unique vibe. He even threw in a brand guide document, laying out the best ways to use all of the assets he provided, which was EXTREMELY helpful for someone as bad at branding and social media as I am!"
